Cindy Blackman

Biography

Cindy Blackman is one of contemporary music’s most creative drummers. Although she is best-known for recording and touring with Lenny Kravitz since the early 90’s, she is also known as one of today’s best known and most talented jazz drummers.

Tony Williams is one of her main drumming influences and she has paid tribute to him in several recordings including “Multiplicity” and her latest CD “Another Lifetime. Her resume is a who’s who of acclaimed jazz, rock and pop artists, including Pharoah Sanders, Ron Carter, Cassandra Wilson, Bill Laswell,George Benson, & Joss Stone.

She continues to be one of the most in demand drummers performing today.
